    Moving to Alaska?

    A month or more before the move:
    Start a log of expenses - some may be tax deductible!
    Moving companies - do your research! How much time will there be before pick-up and delivery? Do they have insurance?
    Going to having housing right away or will you need storage?
    Contact your bank - do you have access to them if they do't have a branch in state?
    Contact your insurance companies to change property, auto and medical policies. Don't forget to run through housing scenarios!

    Spring Selling Season!

    5 simple suggestions that could make or break you selling your house this spring season.  There seems to be limited inventory and that is a plus, but your house still has to be one that is desired to the purchaser.



    Pay attention to your curb appeal. Some people will drive on by if the house looks dark and dreary, or the lawn and foliage is overgrown.  It doesn’t take much to spruce a place up with some trimming and weekend work. 

    Pare down the possessions in your house. You live in the home yes, but you don’t want to distract the potential buyer from seeing themselves in the home either. Since you are wanting to move, why not put non-essential things in boxes and store them. It will make keeping the place clean a lot easier.

    Price it right. Yes, low inventory means you can get a great price, but it doesn’t mean you can get a high price. Make sure you price according to the market.
